in the book of Romans 3:23-24 (NIV) says “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
We all have sinned against God. We should always pray for God’s mercy in our lives. If you want your prayers to be effective, always back them up with the words of God because God honors his words more than his name.
Prayer for mercy
Almighty God in heaven, your words say, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus,” have mercy on me.
Lord God, look upon the finished work of your son on the cross of Calvary and show mercy unto me. I have no power of my own. I trust and believe in thy words. Your words are of the truth, mercyful father. Out of your pouring of love, have mercy on me in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
